इन लोगों के वास्ते दुनियावी जि़न्दगी में (भी) अज़ाब है और आखि़रत का अज़ाब तो यक़ीनी और बहुत सख़्त खुलने वाला है (और) (फिर) ख़ुदा (के ग़ज़ब) से उनको कोई बचाने वाला (भी) नहीं (34)।

सिद्धार्थ व्यापारी के रूप में प्रेमी के साथ साधुत्व से अत्यधिक दुनियावी जीवन की तरफ जाते हैं और फिर सन्यास की तरफ वापस आते हैं क्योंकि वह यही लक्ष्य प्राप्त करने का प्रयास करते हैं।
