जो संन्यासी आश्रम-मठों से बाहर विचरण करते हों, उनके लिए भिक्षावृत्ति से जीवन-निर्वाह करने का विधान किया गया है।

और पर्णदत्त भीख भी माँगता है तो भीख में जन्मभूमि के लिए प्राण उत्सर्ग कर सकने वाले वीरों को माँगता है।
