फ्रुड ने एक स्विस मनोवैज्ञानिक कार्ल जंग (Carl Jung) पर गहरा प्रभाव डाला, जिसका विश्लेषणात्मक मनोविज्ञान (analytical psychology) गहरे मनो विज्ञान (depth psychology) के लिए एक विकल्पी विधि बन गया।
