दक्षिण भारत में इसतरह के वाद्यों के मौजूद होने के प्रमाण के रूप में होयसलेश्वर मंदिर, कर्नाटकम का उदाहरण लिया जा सकता है जिसमें एक नक्काशी में नृत्य समारोह में एक स्त्री तबले जैसे वाद्य बजाती दिखाई गयी है।

इस मौके को भुनाते हुए हरिहर ने होयसल साम्राज्य पर अधिकार कर लिया।

यहाँ होयसला शिल्पकला, मोहनजोदड़ो से प्राप्त प्राचीन तीरों, सिक्कों और मिट्टी के पात्रों का अविश्वसनीय संग्रह है।

फिर वे गन्गा सामराज्य के हाथों में चले गये और फिर १२वीं शताब्दी में होयसल साम्राज्य के राजा विष्णुवर्धन के राज्य में आ गये।

उसने द्वारसमुद्र के 'होयसलों' और देवगिरि के यादवों के विद्रोहों का दमन किया और लाल तथा गुर्जर को लूट लिया।

इन्हें होयसाल वंश के राजा विष्णुवर्धन का संरक्षण मिला था।

उसने अपने समकालीन चेर, होयसल, चोल, तेलुगु, काकतीय और बाण सभी का अपने पराक्रम से अभिभूत किया था।

यहाँ प्राचीन, होयसल (११वीं सदी) राजाओं के पुरावशेष बेलूर, हालेबिडु जैसे स्थल है ।

चालुक्य वंश की क्षीण होती हुई शक्ति का लाभ उठाकर विष्णुवर्धन् होयसल ने अपन राज्य का विस्तार धारवाड़ में बंकारपुर तक कर लिया था, फिर भी वह चालुक्यों की अधीनता स्वीकार करता था।

चोल साम्राज्य से १११६ में गंगवाड़ी को विष्णुवर्धन के नेतृत्व में होयसालों ने छीन लिया।

यहां का मुख्य आकर्षण केशव मंदिर है जिसका निर्माण 1268 में होयसल सेनापति, सोमनाथ दंडनायक ने करवाया था।

चोल सम्राट् अपने आक्रामकों एवं विद्रोहियों के विरुद्ध शक्तिशाली होयसलों से सहायता लेते थे और इसी कारण धीरे-धीरे वे उनके साथ की कठपुतली बन गए।

सन् 1015 से 1116 तक तमिलनाडु के चोल शासकों ने यहाँ राज किया जिसके बाद इसकी सत्ता होयसल राजवंश के हाथ चली गई।

Khoyski was elected a deputy to the Second Duma of Russian Empire from Elisabethpol Governorate.

On 27 March, soon after the 1917 February revolution in Russia, Khoyski became a member of the Temporary Executive Committee of Muslim National Councils (MNCs).

During the first Musavat summit on 26–31 October 1917, Khoyski spoke in favor of autonomy for Azerbaijan.

Prime Minister Khoyski had the distinct honor to send radiogram to the main political centers of the world on the proclamation of an independent Azerbaijan republic on 30 May 1918.

Khoyski served as the Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Internal Affairs.

On 17 June 1918 the second government was formed by Khoyski led by Nasib Yusifbeyli.
