सन्दर्भ सुनार (वैकल्पिक सोनार या स्वर्णकार) भारत के स्वर्णकार समाज से सम्बन्धित जाति है जिनका मुख्य व्यवसाय स्वर्ण धातु से भाँति-भाँति के कलात्मक आभूषण बनाना, खेती करना तथा सात प्रकार के शुद्ध व्यापार करना है।

रानी धारिणी की आज्ञा से मालविका के नृत्य और गायन की शिक्षा की प्रगति के संबंध में नाट्याचार्य गणदास से जानकारी करने के लिए जा रही वकुलावलिका की भेंट कौमुदिनी से हो जाती है जो रानी के लिए सांकित अँगूठी लेकर स्वर्णकार के यहाँ से लौट रही थी।

गढ़वाल एवं कुमाऊ के प्रत्येक भाग में पारम्परिक स्वर्णकार हजारों वर्ष पुराने डिजाइनों एवं पद्धतियों का प्रयोग करके पारम्परिक आभूषण निर्मित करते हैं।
