इसी प्रकार स्टैम्प ऐक्ट के अनुसार समाचार-पत्रों, कानूनी तथा व्यापरिक दस्तावेजों, विज्ञापनों आदि पर स्टाम्प ड्यूटी का भुगतान अनिवार्य कर दिया गया।
हाँग काँग स्टाम्प ड्यूटी अध्यादेश कैप.117 (एसडीओ) के अनुसार, मुद्रांक शुल्क निम्नलिखित 4 श्रेणियों के अनुसार कानूनी रूप से बाध्यकारी दस्तावेजों पर लागू होती है:।
