""(७३) प्रापाणक न्याय—जिस प्रकार घी, चीनी आदि कई वस्तुओं के एकत्र करने से बढ़िया मिठाई बनती है उसी प्रकार अनेक उपादानों के योग से सुंदर वस्तु तैयार होने के दृष्टांत में यह उक्ति कही जाती है।

किसी सुंदर वस्तु को देखकर हमारे मन में जो आनन्ददायिनी अनुभूति होती है उसके स्वभाव और स्वरूप का विवेचन तथा जीवन की अन्यान्य अनुभूतियों के साथ उसका समन्वय स्थापित करना इनका मुख्य उद्देश्य होता है।

अतः शिल्पकार केवल एक वस्तु निर्माता ही नहीं होता और शिल्पवस्तु (क्राफ्ट) केवल एक सुंदर वस्तु ही नहीं होती बल्कि इसका सृजन एक विशेष कार्य के लिए, ग्राहक की आवश्यकता को पूर्ण करने के लिए किया जाता है।
