इस प्रकार चौहानों की पहचान अग्निवंशी (सूर्यवंशी) और ,(चंद्रवंशी) ,, कात्यायनी शाखा, त्रिपुरा पुर, गोभिल सूत्र, क्षत्रीय वर्ण, सात्विक धर्म, आशापुरा देवी, आबू पर्वत एवं शिव-प्रिय विल्व पत्र आदि प्रसिद्ध हुए | इसके बाद सतयुग में राजर्षि से लेकर नाभि ऋषि तक अठारह पीढियों ने आबू पर्वत-क्षेत्र पर राज्य किया।

जैन नगर पुराण में कलयुग में एक जैन मुनि को भोजन कराने का फल सतयुग में दस ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराने के बराबर कहा गया है।

वर्तमान मे 7 वें मन्वन्तर के भोग मे यह 28वीं चतुर्युगी है. इस 28वीं चतुर्युगी मे 3 युग अर्थात् सतयुग , त्रेतायुग, द्वापर युग बीत चुके है और कलियुग का 5115 वां वर्ष चल रहा है .।

अर्थात ब्रह्माजी के अहोरात्र में सृष्टि के पैदा होने और नाश हाने में जो युग माने गए हैं, वे इस प्रकार हैं- चार हजार वर्ष और उतने ही शत अर्थात चार सौ वर्ष की पूर्व संध्या और चार सौ वर्ष की उत्तर संध्या इस प्रकार कुल 4800 व का सतयुग, इसी प्रकार तीन हजार छह सौ वर्ष का त्रेता, दो हजार चार सौ वर्ष का द्वापर और बारह सौ वर्ष का कलियुग।

तांत्रिकों की देवी कालिका के इस चमत्कारिक मंदिर की प्राचीनता के विषय में कोई नहीं जानता, फिर भी माना जाता है कि इसकी स्थापना महाभारतकाल में हुई थी, लेकिन मूर्ति सतयुग के काल की है।
