अधिवासी ऐसे अस्थायी काश्तकारों को कहा जाता है जो भूमिधर और सीरदार की जमीन पर काश्त करते हैं, जिन्हें तीन वर्ष के लिये खेती करने के लिये जमीन मिलती है।
