The KCRC company has ordered 15 Volvo B10Ms in 1995 for replacing second-handed MCW Metrobus fleet, with Northern Counties bodied, ZF4HP500 gearbox and Volvo THD102KF engine fitted.

The Scania/Metro Cammell Weymann partnership, which produced the Metropolitan, ended in the late 1970s and forced MCW to introduce its own rear-engined product, available as an integral or chassis, the MCW Metrobus.

The success of the Metrobus, particularly with West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive and London Transport, would spur Leyland on to develop a new heavy-duty rear-engined bus, sealing the eventual withdrawal of the Atlantean from the market.

Metrobus does not serve the park, and there is no Washington Metro stop close to the park.

MTL further updated the MTL Fareway fleet with a batch of ex-London Buses Leyland Titans from the main Merseybus fleet and secondhand MCW Metrobuses from Lancashire Travel.

To facilitate this the 1989 batch of 25 MCW Metrobus MkIIs were transferred from Merseybus's Gillmoss depot to St Helens along with some early model MkI Metrobuses, again from Gillmoss and a variety of secondhand sources including London Buses, Mainline, Newport Transport and Yorkshire Rider.

Despite this, MTL retained the Heysham Travel operation, transferring in some Alexander R-Type bodied MCW Metrobuses, as well as Alexander and East Lancs bodied Leyland Atlanteans from Merseybus and secondhand Leyland National 2s, ironically purchased from Stagecoach Ribble to replace Heysham Travel's ageing coach fleet.

The contract was awarded to Metrobus, which used Scania OmniCity vehicles.

To cover for the increase in PVR while new vehicles were prepared, Metrobus hired Mercedes-Benz O530s from Wealden PSV, delivered directly from original owner Quality Line.

Borough of North Warwickshire Antrobus is a civil parish and village in Cheshire, England, immediately to the south of Warrington.

As well as Antrobus village centre itself, the parish includes other large hamlets at Frandley about one mile south west from the main village, and Crowley which is about two miles to the north east.

Antrobus is listed as a township of Great Budworth parish on Cheshire's Tithe map, in the Bucklow Hundred and under the deanery of Frodsham.

In 1894, Antrobus became a parish in its own right and a part of the Runcorn Rural District.
