हिन्दू धर्म पूर्वोत्तर कॉकसी भाषाएँ (Northeast Caucasian languages) या नाख़-दाग़िस्तानी भाषाएँ (Nakh-Daghestanian languages) कॉकस क्षेत्र में रूस के दाग़िस्तान, चेचन्या और इंगुशेतिया गणतंत्रों तथा उत्तरी अज़रबैजान में बोला जाने वाला एक भाषा परिवार है।

नागोर्नो-काराबाख पर आधिपत्य को लेकर १९९२ में आर्मेनिया और अज़रबैजान के बीच लड़ाई हुई थी जो १९९४ तक चली थी।

रूस के साथ जिन देशों की सीमाएँ मिलती हैं उनके नाम हैं - (वामावर्त) - नार्वे, फ़िनलैण्ड, एस्टोनिया, लातविया, लिथुआनिया, पोलैण्ड, बेलारूस, यूक्रेन, जॉर्जिया, अज़रबैजान, कजाकिस्तान, चीन, मंगोलिया और उत्तर कोरिया।

नौरोज़ का उदगम तो प्राचीन ईरान ही है किंतु वर्तमान समय में ईरान, ताजिकिस्तान, तुर्कमनिस्तान, क़िरक़ीज़िस्तान, उज़्बेकिस्तान, अफ़ग़ानिस्तान, पाकिस्तान, आज़रबाइजान, भारत, तुर्की, इराक़ और जार्जिया के लोग नौरोज़ के उत्सव मनाते हैं।

इसके बाद के ज़ुहाब में हुए उस्मानियों और सफ़वियों के बीच समझौते के मुताबिक़ अमासिया, पूर्वी आर्मेनिया, पूर्वी जॉर्जिया, अज़रबैजान और दाग़िस्तान के इलाक़ों को सफ़वियों के पास सौंपा गया जबकि पश्चिमी आर्मेनिया और पश्चिमी जॉर्जिया के इलाक़े उस्मानियों को सौंपा गया।

तीतर सी-सी तीतर (See-see Partridge) (Ammoperdix griseogularis) फ़ीज़ैन्ट कुल का एक पक्षी है जो कि सीरिया, अज़रबैजान, अफ़्गानिस्तान, ईरान, ईराक़, ताजिकिस्तान, तुर्कमेनिस्तान, कज़ाख़िस्तान, उज़बेकिस्तान, पाकिस्तान तथा भारत में पाया जाता है।
