ढाँचे चाहे किसी इमारत, पुल अथवा क्रेन आदि यंत्रों के लिये हों, उनकी रचना करते समय यह विचार करना आवश्यक है कि उनके विविध अवयवों पर किस किस प्रकार के तथा किस परिमाण में बाहरी बल भार के रूप में पड़ेंगे।

इस सूरा का विषय मनुष्य को संसार में उसकी वास्तविक हैसियत से अवगत कराना है और यह बताना है कि यदि वह अपनी इस हैसियत को ठीक-ठीक समझकर कृतज्ञता की नीति ग्रहण करे तो उसका परिणाम क्या होगा और कुफ्र (अकृतज्ञता) के मार्ग पर चले तो उसे किस परिणाम का सामना करना होगा।
