कालेपानी की कठोर यातना से इन्द्रभूषण सेन आत्महत्या कर चुके थे तथा उल्लासकर दत्त पागल हो गये थे।

लाहौर षड्यंत्र मामले की शाखा के रूप में बनारस पूरक षड्यंत्र केस चला और शचींद्र को आजन्म कालेपानी की सजा मिली।

इस केस में पुल्लिन को कालेपानी (आजीवन कारावास) की सजा हुई और उन्हें कुख्यात सेल्युलर जेल में भेज दिया गया।
