इनकी उत्पत्ति मध्य जनस्तर के मध्यस्थ कोशिका पुंज तथा अवस्कर गुहा (cloaca) के जननमूत्र विवर से होती है।


आंत्र के अंतिम भाग को प्राय: अवस्कर (Cloaca) कहते हैं।
