यह शहर गाज़ा (Gaza) और भूमध्य सागर के उत्तर-पूर्व में, अम्मान, जॉर्डन के पश्चिम में, तेल अविव, इसराइल के दक्षिण-पूर्व में और येरुशलम के दक्षिण में स्थित है।

शहर में पार्वती का भी एक मंदिर है जिन्हें यहाँ पेरियानायकी अम्मान पुकारा जाता है।

ब्राह्मण हालांकि सारे नगर में रहते हैं परन्तु उनके दो प्रमुख इलाके हैं; कल्थामपुथूर अग्राहरम (अन्य नाम ए.कल्यामपुथूर) जो कि शहर के निकट ही है तथा पेरियानायाकी अम्मान मंदिर के निकट गुरुक्कल मार्ग।

देश की राजधानी अम्मान उत्तर पश्चिम में स्थित है।

Tributaries of the Great Egg Harbor River Brynamman (Brynaman) is a village on the south side of the Black Mountain (Y Mynydd Du), part of the Brecon Beacons National Park (Parc Cenedlaethol Bannau Brycheiniog).

The village is split into Upper Brynamman and Lower Brynamman by the River Amman, which is also the boundary between the counties of Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot (in the old county of Glamorganshire).

The population of Brynamman was 2,608 as of 2011; the urban area including Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen was 5,692.

The Welsh language was at the fore and the successful participation in local and national eisteddfodau by numerous village people, choirs and bands put Brynamman on the map.

It was once a thriving village, with three bank branches on Station Road in Upper Brynamman alone.

Brynamman was previously known as Y Gwter Fawr ("The Big Gutter"); the name was changed when the railway from Ammanford reached the village.

The current name is derived from "Brynamman House", the home of John Jones, builder of the railway.
